Energy Accounts Payment Assistance
The purpose of the Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA) Scheme is to help customers who are experiencing a financial crisis or emergency and need help to pay their home electricity and/or natural gas (energy) bills. The Scheme is designed to help these customers stay connected to essential energy services. It is a crisis scheme and not intended to offer ongoing income support. - Identification – photo ID, accounts in your name
- Income statement – from Centrelink or your employer, for ALL people living with you
- Only one (1) person per household will be assessed
- Available twice in a 12 month period or a maximum of $1000 per year (financial year)
- Bring any large accounts you have paid with you
- An appointment must be made – Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday 9.30am – 1 pm
- Only ORIGINAL accounts in your name that are overdue may be eligible for assistance.
- Applicable for anywhere in NSW
- Account must be for current address.
